Steps to serving other:Philippians 2:1-2: Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.
1) CONCERN:
a) Encouragement
b) Comfort
c) Fellowship
d) Tenderness
e) Like-Minded
f) Unity
Philippians 2:3: Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;
Galatians 5:26: Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.
2) HUMILTY:
Two deterents to Genuine Humility:
a) Selfish Ambition
b) Vain Conceit
Philippians 2:8: Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
3) COMMITMENT:
Being obedient is to give ear to it. One act of obedience is better than a thousand sermons.
Some people serve because the law (the Bible) requires it; others serve because love desires it!
