Promises from God: Peace

You may have peace with God, but do you have the peace of God?

Philippians 4:6-7:  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Luke 12:22, 25-26, 35-36:  22 And He said to His disciples, “For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on.  25 And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life’s span? 26 If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you worry about other matters?35 “Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit. 36 Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks

Anxious = Worry.
Peace = Don't Worry (Quiteness).
Guard = Readiness.

How can you lose peace? Worry! Worry is a deterrent to a Godly life.
Isaiah 26:3: The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.

How can you gain peace?  Renew your mind!  Replace 'wrong' thoughts with God's thinking!
2 Corinthians 10:5:  5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,
Thoughts:
  1. Is the thought true?
  2. Is the thought noble?
  3. Is the thought right?
  4. Is the thought pure?
  5. Is the thought lovely?
  6. Is the thought admirable?
  7. Is the thought excellent?
  8. Is the thought praiseworthy?
Philippians 4:8:  Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
